CIVIL WAR U.S. ROBY MODEL 1860 CAVALRY SABER & SCABBARD. Dated U.S.-1865 on ricasso along with "A.G.M." inspectors mark. Opposite with "C. Roby/ W. Chelmsford, Mass." with original leather washer. 35" dbl fullered blade with original false edge and no dings. All original patina never cleaned or sharpened. Original tip never taken down. Original leather grip wrap(some crazing) with original two strand braided wire. Brass basket hilt with preservative lacquer excellent. Original steel scabbard with original rings covered in crusty patina excellent with no dings or kinks.Perfect fit.
