Description:
This rifle was manufactured in 1899 at Tula Arsenal. Barrel is 31 1/2” with a good reasonably strong and bright bore showing light pitting throughout. Serial numbers on the receiver and bolt do not match. Metal surfaces are a blue/gray patina with fine to light pitting throughout. Triggerguard has light to moderate pitting and the buttplate shows moderate to heavy pitting. Stock has a faint circular cartouche on the right side with only the date “1899” legible. There are dings, dents and scratches with a 1” grain crack on the left side of the butt. Buttplate fit is loose, handguard and cleaning rod are missing and there are no sling swivels present.
