This is a later model Es340 with the enlarged ejection port, and retains about 90-92% of the original blue with some silvering at the muzzle, along the high edges, and mottled freckling along the underside of the barrel ahead of the forend. The matching numbered bolt also exhibits mild wear with the knob toning slightly to pewter. The checkered walnut, pistol grip stock with grooved forend rates very good plus with minor handling marks and bruises scattered about the wood, the most prominent blemish is on the left side below the bolt release. The original checkered hard rubber Mauser buttplate is still installed, and a still crisp Mauser banner is present on the right side of the buttstock. The original sling swivels remain, as does the front sight hood (the ramp is slightly scratched along the sides due to hood placement and removal). The later style rear sight still has the original reversible blade aperture. This is a fine example of one of the finest .22 target/sporting rifles ever made.
