Description:
Serial #98042C, .22 LR, 28" target barrel with an excellent, bright bore. The barrel retains 92-95% of the original blue with only some mild silvering and fading, as well as a few scattered specks of surface freckling. The receiver retains 95-97% of the original blue with a large "U.S. PROPERTY" marking electric-penciled onto the left side behind the serial number. The matching numbered bolt has about 90% original blue remaining, most of the fading occurs on the handle. The smooth walnut target stock rates very good overall with scattered small handling marks and scratches, a partially removed rack number painted on the nose of the forend: “19”; and a crisp DOD cartouche on the butt of the pistol grip. Redfield Olympic front and rear target sights are installed. An original single-shot adapter is included. This is a handsome, military-issued Model 52, and is in fine condition overall. FFL or C&R
