Savage Arms Company model 1907 “U.S. Army” semi-auto test pistol. This is an all original test gun in mint condition. One of 288 test guns in .45 acp caliber. Most of them were sent to various Army posts where they underwent tests in the field as well as other controlled conditions. Colt won the contact and the Colt 1911 was adopted. This example was one of the very few that was not issued, or tested and remains in near new condition with the original factory markings of “MANUFACTUED BY SAVAGE ARMS COMPANY/UTICA N.Y. USA PAT NOV.21. 1905,” followed by CAL 45. Included also is one of only two holsters that were made for the pistol and is in excellent condition. Call for pricing. gun in near mint condition.
