#41174, Gebruder Merkel, Suhl: A Classic and Proper Period Suhl Made Gebruder Merkel 20 Bore O/U Model 200E Boxlock Ejector that was made in 1955, 26" Solid Rib Ejector Bohler Steel barrels at .623 .009 & .014" (Tight Imp.Cyl. & Mod.), Original 2 3/4" chambers, Bolstered frame, Scalloped frame, Double triggers with the front articulated, 3 piece game forend, Pistol grip stock at 13 7/8 x 1 1/2 x 2 5/8" over a 1" pad, With the slip-on in the photos it is 14 1/2", 6 lbs. even, Sling swivels, No cheekpiece, 35% coverage of scroll engraving, Decent wood, Both the forend and buttstock match well, Horn grip cap, The original barrel blue remains at 96%, The trigger guard & tang blue is 90%, The original case colors on the frame remains at 80%, The breech face retains 98% case colors, The original stock finish is at 80%, The checkering is at 90%, It has 4 retainer screws on key screws, The barrels inside & out remain excellent plus and look like they did in 1955. This is ideal for your Lady or Youth and use the slip-on for you at 14 1/2" length of pull. A very solid and original gun, except for the pad, in every respect and will last a lifetime of upland shooting. It has great weight; super stock dimensions and is a very good value for the money.
