Extremely scarce Custer era 1872 US Cavalry Horse Shoe & brush bag (made from Civil War saddle bags). Very scarce. These bags were put together from surplus Civil War Saddle Bags. They were only issued for a short time and are very hard to find. This one is in Fine condition, with no flaking of crazing on the small bag and only modest amount of flaking and crazing at the flex point of the larger bag, which obviously was used more. Very clear “US” stamped on strap. I am only aware of one other one on the internet in the past month and it is no better than this one and priced at over $1,000. Shipping & Insurance $22.00.
