Description:
Clean vintage Savage model 1899 with a good bore chambered for the .303Savage caliber. This rifle has clean American plain walnut stocks, and a grooved blue steel crescent butt-plate. Bluing is about 89%, with some age fading.Barrel states:SAVAGE HIGH PRESSURE STEEL MODEL 1899. Address is Utica ,N.Y. This model has the brass rotary mag, and no cocking indicator . Still has strong color case hardening on the lever.Wood has a few dents and scrapes from field use and at the bottom tow has has some thin grain splits , but stable not open. Comes with front and rear sights A good early gun SN 667XX. We don’t have asite .I prefer money orders or a check. Item ships when funds come in. If you can only pay with a card let me know.
