Description:
International Harvester M1 Garand, serial number 45946xx, manufactured in 1954. LMR barrel dated January 1954, with a bright bore and excellent riflings. No import marks. Very good used condition. Marked parts are IHC, all are described below.

Part Details:
· Receiver: marked “D6528291-L” on leg, no heat lot number. Very good condition, no pitting, finish shows some wear. Marked on top with serial number and “U.S. RIFLE CAL. 30 M1 INTERNATIONAL HARVESTER”. Receiver finish is likely original.
· Barrel: marked “LMR D6535448 1 54 A27” and punch mark, with “P” and “M” marks and a small stars and eagle stamp. Bore is bright, crown and riflings excellent. External finish shows some wear, no pitting. Chamber is in the white.
· Barrel Gauge Measurements: MW(muzzle wear): 1 ½, TE(throat erosion): 2 1/2
· Op rod: marked “D-6535382 IHC.” Parkerized finish is in good condition, with some wear from use. Op rod and bolt cycle freely by tilting when everything is assembled except main spring and hammer (Garands with binding or rubbing op rods tend to have feeding and/or ejecting problems).
· Op rod catch: late type, unmarked
· Bullet guide: stamped with notch, unmarked
· Follower: late type, unmarked
· Follower arm: no bevel, unmarked
· Follower rod: long fork, riveted, unmarked
· Bolt: marked “D6528287 IHC A5”
· Firing pin: half round, no chrome tip
· Clip latch: marked “A”
· Rear sight base: marked “A”
· Elevation knob: marked “IHC” with Weatherhead logo
· Windage knob: marked “IHC DRC”
· Rear sight cover: late type with ribs
· Rear sight aperture: HRA/SA/IHC type, double track
· Trigger housing: marked “IHC D6528290”. Small pad, cloverleaf hole, no pitting, some finish wear
· Trigger guard: stamped with stamped hook, unmarked
· Trigger: late type, no extra hole, unmarked
· Hammer: marked “IHC C5546008”
· Hammer spring plunger: postwar type, no wings
· Safety: marked “IHC”
· Gas cylinder: wide sight platform, flat on top of rear ring, unmarked. The gas cylinder group has been refinished with two-part Duracoat. The gas cylinder/barrel fit has been tightened to maximize accuracy.
· Front sight: 0.875 wide
· Gas cylinder lock: “high hump” type
· Gas cylinder lock screw: cross slot, grenade launcher type, marked “NHC IHC”
· Stock: walnut, probably arsenal replacement. Marked “48” with stenciled paint, no other markings. No cracks, some dings/scratches, nice appearance. Has a few small spots of paint.
· Handguards: walnut, same appearance as stock, front HG has crack at rear, see photos.
Two M1 enbloc clips(no ammo) are included.
