For sale, a "5th Issue" Colt Officer's Model Match in .38 Special. This Colt was manufactured in 1961 and has been refinished at some point during it's life. The refinish appears to be an older job that was very well done. The "new" blue finish is in excellent condition and rates around 98%. As you can see in the pictures, the bluing has taken on different shades depending on the iron content and hardness treatment of the part. Special care appears to have been taken to avoid buffing down the sharp corners and stamped lettering / Colt logo. The sides of the hammer have been polished bright like they would have been from the factory. The bore appears in mint condition. It is bright with very sharp and strong rifling. It does not show any signs that it has been shot much at all since it left the Colt factory new. The grips are an attractive pair of wooden finger groove grips with gold Colt medallions that are not the factory originals. This Officer's Model Match would be a fine shooter. It locks up extremely tight with no cylinder wobble, and I'm sure it would be extremely accurate just like Colt intended it to be. These "Match" models were meant to win competitions and they did so frequently. This would be a great shooter to add to any collection!
