Description:
For sale, an antique New Model Pocket Rifle (2nd Issue) by J. Stevens Co. that was made between 1875 and 1896. This little single shot pocket rifle was chambered for the .22 rimfire cartridge and has a 16 inch barrel and a serial number matching removable wire stock. It has a blue finish barrel and nickel plated frame and stock. The grips are smooth walnut and are fit nicely, and they are tight to the frame. This little pocket rifle has an adjustable rear combination peep/V-notch sight and a globe style front sight with a post inside the globe, and a bead on top of the globe as well for 2 different sighting options. The tiny sheet metal tension plate on the back of the rear sight appears to be cracked but it still functions like it should. It would be an easy fix to replace. The ATF has declassified this little rifle from curio/relic to antique so it does not require any paperwork to transfer. This little antique rifle would be a blast to shoot and a great decorator/conversation piece!
