Description:
One of the last Pre-Series 70 guns made, this BB Transition 1911 has the Series 70 collet barrel bushing. The barrel and frame are both stamped BB to indicate this fact. Rich Colt bluing compliments the Coltwood grips featuring the Rampant Colt logo. The usual A1 style features are found; short reach serrated trigger, serrated arched mainspring housing, GI length guide rod, and narrow spur hammer.
This pistol appears to have been fired little, if at all since it left Colt. There are some scattered handling marks from age and storage but no major damage. The worst are on the right side of the butt. The bore is clean and bright with sharp rifling. The grips likewise only have minor marks on them.
