Description:
Important item for a Duck Stamp collector and/or for a Winchester shotgun collector. Ernie Simmons is best known as the pioneer of "after market" ventilated ribs for shotguns. The Simmons rib can be found on literally thousands and thousands of Winchester Model 12 shotguns. They can also be found on M42's, M50's and just about any other shotgun ever made!
The stamp itself is a 1935 Federal Duck Stamp, the 2nd year and it is in fine to very fine original condition. Quite a find: A rare vintage Duck Stamp cancelled by the legendary Ernie Simmons.
