Description:
Special order Winchester Model 1873 with $3.50 factory engraving, Casehardened, Slings, deluxe checkered straight grip wood, set trigger and an extra length 28" barrel. This was quite a gun when it was new! Second Model 1873 made in 1879. Original sights include a gold globe combination front and an adjustable sporting rear. Wood is in good shape with worn checkering and a little shrinkage to the forearm. Barrel has some original blue showing through the plum/brown. Bore has deep rifling, with light roughness throughout. There is a little lite pitting on top of the dust cover and frame. Action works, set trigger does not. Maybe just needs a little adjustment. Your chance to have a special order deluxe gun for that has been used and still has eye appeal today.
