Description:
All original non-molested Parker CHE side x side shotgun built in 1902 on a #2 frame with Titanic steel bbls and a single silver sighting bead. The receiver is engraved in a typical C pattern and foliate arabesque scroll. It is stocked with beutiful streaky walnut and a skeleton steel butt. The Parker Serialization Book identifies this gun as a grade 4 with Titanic steel barrels. Only 269 12 gauge Titanic Steel barreled guns were produced and only 150 of those were straight grip. This Parker is in very good condition. The barrels retain 85-90% original blue with slight muzzle wear, normal nicks and dings, and some thinning at the breach area where the gun was carried. The receiver and fore-end metal retain 35-45% case color, especially in protected areas (see photos). The trigger guard is "silver-gray" where the palm holds the grip, while all blue remains through the bow, along with case color darkening in guard. The wood is sound and beautiful with the usual light nicks and scratches. The fore-end and grip checkering can be felt easily. The fore-end metal is silver gray but case color darkening on underside (see photos). The mechanics are crisp. The bores are shiny and bright, but right barrel has one minor dent near muzzle (see photo). All serial numbers are matching.
