Description:
J. Stevens Arms and Tool Co. Model 1894 single shot rifle. This gun is chambered for the 25 Stevens rimfire cartridge. The barrel is 22 inches long part octagon and round with about 96% original blue. The bore is bright with strong rifleing. The frame still retains 95-97% of the original case colors. The hammer and breech block also have about 97% blue. The wood is solid with three quarters of the original finish remaining. The only issue with this little gun would be the toe area where about a quarter to half inch of the toe is missing as well as the plate. This would be a simple repair, and original buttplate can be found. At some point a Lyman peep and Lyman target flip over front sight has been added to the already existing original rear sight. This rifle is priced for about what the peep and front sights are currently selling for.
