Description:
In March of 1860, Christopher Spencer received a patent on a lever action repeating rifle, which fed rimfire cartridges into the chamber through a tubular magazine in the butt stock. This rifle and later carbine models formed quite a demand during the Civil War for their great rate of fire, in excess of 20 rounds per minute, and reliable operation. The Spencer was produced from 1860 to 1869.SOLD AS A NON-OPERATIONAL FIREARM- AS IS, NO RETURNS.
