1886 OCTAGON RIFLE IN .40-82 CALIBER WITH SURPRISINGLY EXCELLENT BORE! MADE 1890, overall barrel, mag and receiver an aged uncleaned brown patina, exc. markings, fine screws, flattop buckhorn rear sight with small blade front, fine deep color walnut with some burl in the forearm and butt stock, butt stock shows some very light shrinkage/wear around the upper tang that is minor and mainly on the left side, tight action, still retains some good blue on the bolt, bore is not quite perfect, but certainly excellent for a black powder 1886 showing almost no pitting or obvious wear- hard to find like this.
