Description:
1962 Browning Superposed 12 gauge over/under shotgun, "Lightning" or standard grade. 32" vent rib barrel with a 2-3/4" chamber. Serial # 1XXXS2. The engraved receiver shows significant loss of blue, I'd rate it at 15-20%. The barrel is better off, but also shows wear at the breech end and along the hard edges, there is also some light freckling and pitting. The bore is bright and shiny. Furniture shows the dings, dents, scratches, and loss of finish consistent with field use, transport, and storage/handling. There is a previously repaired crack at the wrist that has been inspected and ok'd by a local gunsmith. There are also some micro cracks where the buttstock meets the receiver on the right side. 14-1/2" length of pull. Original Browning butt pad still intact and mounted. Stock number B-172, please use this number when referencing this item. Willing to ship anywhere in the USA to your FFL holder, buyer pays freight.
