A good looking Stevens Tip-Up rifle in the more rarer .25-20 caliber and this one is actually marked as such ( photo ).Has a 24' heavy octagon barrel, nearly 1" at breech and 7/8" at muzzle.The mechanism works well.lock-up has no side ways play and some slight play.up and down.Almost all original blue on barrel except light rusting here and there, patinia, and wear on edges.Some light frosting on nickel and could be cleaned ,or,left as is.Visible numbers match.Screws are nice and none are dhewed up.Bore is rough and a reline woud make it a good shooter in this caliber. Though I sell as an antique and one should have it checked out by a gunsmith before shooting.The wood is decent for age and check out by photos. I believe it has the original front sight, the rear sight is missing, and it never had a tang sight.
