Description:
This would be the 2nd series conversion. The trapdoor is marked 1866. Nice markings on the lock of the Eagle and the US Springfield and 1864. These bbls were in the white on these guns as this one is. Smooth metal. Has had some protective coating added. Stock on this gun is very good also with a visible cartouche. No apparent cracks or losses of wood. A good looking old Springfield.
