ORIGINAL WINCHESTER SOLID RIB MODEL 12 12GA. PUMP SHOTGUN WITH 28" BARREL. Circa 1959. Solid matte rib 28" barrel choked "MOD" and stamped on barrel. 2 3/4" chambers. 99.9% original blue on barrel and magazine tube. Unturned screws. Receiver with 95% original blue fading at edges typical and some freckling at top of receiver to color. Lack of mishandling marks at takedown collar and very tight lockup denote this shotgun was almost never if ever taken down. Extended factory forend wood with factory crisp checkering and never sanded but has some handling checks to factory varnish. Same with factory buttstock with varnish loss minimal at wrist typical. Crisp checkering as well. Must be noted what a spectacular piece of wood that was used to create the stock and forend. Deluxe by today's standard with much flame grain and figure. 15" length of pull over Pachmayr White Line vent rubber buttpad. Pad crudely fitted(because they used oversized one) with some flaking to wood but wood still 14" if one wanted to replace with original type pad. Original steel pistol grip cap factory. Weighs over nine pounds and suspect some lead added to interior of buttstock to make a heavy duck out of this beautiful Model 12. Perfect working order and used little.
