Description:
This is the 2nd Allin Conversion. Cal 50-70. 32-3/8" bbl. Allin breech block is marked 1866 over the Eagle's head. Sideplate is "US Springfield" and dated 1865. A pretty good bore on this old gun with strong rifling and some frosting light roughness but no real pitting. Bore condition would be VG. Metal is a very aged brown/grey with some dings towards the front bbl band. Some light freckling on the side plate. Trapdoor has smooth metal. Stock is in good overall condition with a coat of varnish added.
