Description:
100% WWII parkerized finish, refurbished at Raritan Arsenal; (RA) mark on left side of frame.(Reference Charles Clawson "Colt .45 Service Pistol"); also "United States Property".  This interesting and historic old 1911 saw duty in both World Wars. Serial #159307. Mfg. 1917. Col. Gilbert Stewart inspector (1915-1919) mark above mag release button on left side of fame. During the refurbishing process at the Arsenal the mainspring housing was replaced by a then current Colt housing and other repairs were made; scratches on the right side of the slide and left side of frame. The barrel is marked Colt with an inspector's mark ( K ). The bore is good with some frosting. The original walnut grips show some wear, 100% checkering, no chips or cracks. Colt inspector mark "H" in hammer slot. Mechanically fine. All the marking are sharp and clear. Please ask question. Buyer pays all shipping. Priority mail in the US $35. FFL&C&R.
