Description:
A somewhat rare gun being a Model 1886 in 50 Express, but throw in a Take Down frame with the standard 26 inch round barrel and full magazine and you've got a good collectable Winchester. Barrel and mag tube have thinning blue turning plum. Forend cap still retains most of the original blue. Original sights. Great bore, bright and shiny. Crisp action. Traces of case colors on hammer and lever. Butt plate is silvered out. Wood is in good condition and good fitting. Receiver has mostly silvered out with about 20% original thinning blue on the right side and just a little left around the screws on the left side. Honest looking rifle in a rare caliber with an Antique serial number to boot. Gun was made in 1895.
