They were made from 1868 through 1872 and utilized earlier lock plates. This one is dated 1863. Breech block is dated 1870 with the Eagles head and "US". Shows it's age. Bbl is a grey/brown color with somewhat smooth metal. The balance of the metal is a deep chocolate brown. All markings are visible. Stock is dark and oil soaked and in relatively good condition.
