Early Mauser dated 1892 V.C. SCHILLNG with an S and Z, with imperial eagle. Serial number 8404. Looks complete, and action works good. European wood is solid, and appears to have had the finish done over long ago.Medal is a smooth brown patina,grey, fading into brown patina.Bore has decent rifling, and is clean and shiny.Rear sight has German numbers, and the middle band has unit markings: 12 A.F.1.134?, and band number 04. This gun is better than average.Magazine has matching number, and the bolt is matching, but the safety, and bolt rear is numbered 90.Butt-plate is matching.an uncommonly clean early 88 carbine!I hope you like my wide selection of unusual guns.
