Description:
Original Holster and belt Vintage 1890. Civilian holster from the Old West era. The classic contour of this holster makes it one or the most attractive holsters styles ever made. This was a popular civilian style of the 1870's, 80's and 90's. and beyond. Double loop style with a sewn closed toe. Made of light weight dark russet colored leather, with roller design  along the main seam and around the top of the pouch. Later in its time some cowboy added spots, maybe for a Wild West Show. This holster is worn as right hand draw. It fits a 1873 Colt Single Action Army with a 7 1/2 inch barrel.  These old 7 1/2 holster for displaying you vintage Colt are much harder to find the the shorter versions. The holster has no makers mark, but it is most certainly a catalog company holster. The leather is soft and very pliable, and could be use for posing a photograph, but I see it mostly for displaying with you original vintage Colt or you could  just use it, but that's up to you. The pouch has not been re-cut around the trigger guard as so many of these old holsters have, but it does have a repair at the leading edge of the pouch.(See photo)  All the stitches are strong and intact. The belt has the the catalog number 097C also the number 32 Likely denoting Caliber .32-20.  There are 35 bullet loops with loose stitches on 6 or 7. We make a holster very similar to this one if you want one for hard use.
