Description:
This classic Belgium made single shot gun chambers the .28ga shell. The only marks on the gun are number 26 and a Liege proof on the barrel lug. The steel octagonal to round 24" barrel has a clean shiny bore except for a couple patches of surface corrosion.The exterior has original blue on the barrel of about 90+%, The flat sided frame is clean with no rust, and has a very faint color case hardening.Gun locks up very tight. Made without a forend so this gun can fold up double, for storage or poaching/carry.This side latch release single shot has fancy French walnut thin wrist stock with very fine checking, and a LOP of 14 3/8" with a steel butt-plate. The hammer works well, and firing pin is present. Choke is MOD. and the gun chambers the 2 9/16" shell. Most likely made around 1910 to 1930!
