Winchester 1892 .44-40 caliber rifle. First year production short rifle (Note: barrel has a later proof mark indicating it was factory converted into a short rifle in 1920’s) with a surprisingly excellent bore. 20” barrel. Metal has a brown patina. Wood is good with dents and dings, no cracks. A reasonably sharp first year production 1892.
