Manufactured aproximately 1902. The bore has suffered the years of shooting black powder loads and is in poor condition. The octagonal barrel has corrosion along the high points. Original front and rear sight remain. Buttstock shows handling wear from years of handling, but still has a large percentage of original varnish on the wood. The forend has two small pieces of wood missing: one at the action on the upper left side and one at the forend cap on the lower left side. If you're someone who wanted to build and restore a nice old Marlin, this would be a great choice. The bores can be realigned and those small pieces of wood can be replaced so they're not noticable.
