Description:
A superb Winchester Model 52A in 22LR with a special stock in about 90% original blue with the balance thinning to a light grey/brown patina, the trigger guard is completely brown patina, there are no exhibits of rust anywhere on the gun. The stock is a special cheek piece with a concave dish and relief on the front comb to clear the bolt.The are a few dings and dents both nothing serious. The rifle has a LOP at 13 1/4" to the steel butt plate, the heavy barrel is 28" long and measures .900 in diameter and weighs in at 12 lb. 3oz. The front sight is the original to the rifle and is the stock ladder type sight at the rear. There are no additional sights as it was used exclusively with an Unertl Target Scope and has those scope blocks remaining. This rifle was made in 1938 making it a "Pre war" model. It comes with a 5 shot clip and 1-10 shot clip. Overall this is just a great old rifle with a bright shinny bore and very crisp rifling that will continue to be a tack driver for another 78 years or more!
