Description:
S# W227273, 303 British with welded chamber (non-firing), 26 inch barrel, plugged bore. This Winchester built rifle has been rendered unfirable by drilling a hole through chamber and welding a steel rod in place. Action bolt, trigger guard, stock forend cap, and floor plate are marked "DP". Bolt and rear sight have matching numbers. Barrel is importer marked. Metal shows a very dark patina. Wood looks great with numerous stampings, red and white stripes at action and red and white rack nu7mbers on butt. Wood shows typical marks with attractive dark oil finish, front handguard is cracked.
