William Evans Sidelock Ejector, circa 1912, 12 bore, 2 1/2" chambers, original fluid steel 28" nitro proved chopperlump barrels and proved 1/18 oz., smooth concave game rib engraved "William Evans Gunmaker To H.R.H. The Duke Of Connaught 63 Pall Mall London S.W.", choked .012 IC and .020 Mod., very nicely figured stock with 14 1/2" LOP over a checkered butt with engraved heel and toe plates, 1 1/2" DAC, 2 1/4" DAH, 1/4" cast off, splinter forend, straight grip, double triggers, drop points, 6 lbs. 9 oz., sidelock 7-pin bar action with deep cut bold acanthus scroll engraving with maker's name in a banner on each side, disc-set strikers, dolls-head rib extension 3rd bite, ejectors, stock oval with initials "JBP", "Safe" in gold, originally no. 1 of a pair with gold "1" in typical places, sling swivel installed on stock and bottom rib, min. barrel wall thickness is fantastic at .031 and .033, bores are .732 and .732, checkering is worn and could stand to be recut, some thinning to barrel blue, action has a bit of looseness.  With a little attention, would be a first rate London gun.
