Description:
This Civil War era revolver appears in the 2016 book "The Civil War and the Firearms Trade". The Moore Patent Firearms Company was one of the most successful of S&W during the Civil War era. The Moore .32 Teatfire Front-loading Revolvers were of the highest quality and experienced strong sales. This 5 shot revolver is serial number 8824 and has a silver-plated and engraved frame, 3 1/4" barrel and birds-head grips. It is an early variation with the rare "hook extractor". In my 30 years of collecting this is the nicest teatfire revolver I have seen and the only one with the "hook extractor" (see pic #8). It will ship with 5 original .32 Teatfire cartridges.
