Antique British Brown Bess Sea Service Pattern or Militia Pattern Flintlock Musket, serial # None, 77 cal., this musket has a 38" long barrel and what appear to be British Proofs stamped at the rear of the barrel, the muskets overall length is 53". This musket has what appears to be a brass butt plate, triggerguard and sideplate, and comes with a 6 3/4" unmarked lock. The musket has nice solid wood and with what appear to be the letters Dn stamped into the wood on the left side behind the sideplate. This musket also has its ramrod present. This musket has good patina overall from 200 years of handling and use. The overall condition as described and photographed is good plus - very good. Inv.: # 22-171
