Description:
Enfield no. 5 MKI LONGBRANCH jungle carbine with a 20" barrel, with metal finish with wear to high spots, found on military rifles., but very strong color. Wood is very good with about no dings from field use and has a medal butt-plate with a rubber insert that looks good, and with wear. A very rugged gun with a long history. Gun has no importer marking on the barrel. Action is very tight, and the bore has strong rifling and corrosion down in the grooves from wartime corrosive primers used. The bolt has a rare matching number and this gun is marked:No5 MKI, 1945. Comes with a green fabric sling that looks about new. The wood has a hand rubber military oil finish.
