Description: Winchester Model 1894 Takedown .32 Winchester Special. Rifle configuration with 26" full octagon barrel, full length magazine tube with takedown lever, straight-grip butt-stock with metal crescent butt-plate. The barrel sports correct time period Rocky Mountain sporting brass bladed front sight, and a "Winchester Special Model 1894" rear sight, elevation adjustable for 50 and 100 yards, specifically for the .32 Winchester Special cartridge, stamped WINCHESTER addressed on top with 1901 patent date, also stamped on the left side, SMOKELESS 50&100 YDS -32W.S.-M'94-. RIFLE'S CONDITION: The metal has some remaining blue on the barrel, top of receiver, hammer and triggerguard. The stocks have typical scratches, nicks and dents, and the butt has and a thin 1 1/2" crack in the wrist on the left side beginning at the receiver. The bore is worn badly but there are no pits. It is heavily frosted throughout and the rifled lands are worn down to almost nothing. Cast lead bullets would have to be cast oversized or the rifle would be a good candidate for a barrel sleeve. 13" length of pull, weighs 8 lbs., 6 oz. Manufactured in 1899 ~ Serial Number: 168875.
