- Note: This is a professionally refinished Remington model 8 D-grade rifle in the venerable 35 Remington caliber. The gun retains 98+% re-blue and the same on the refinished stock. One's imagination can run wild as to the meaning of the notches on the top of the forend on each side of the barrel. There are a total of 66. The D-grade factory engraving fared well during the re-blue process. The LOP is 14" over a Pachmayr Old English decelerator pad. The original rear sight was removed and a sight blank was put in its place. The gun is fitted with the Lymen peep sight appropriate to the model 8.
