Extra lightweight sporting rifle.2nd year production! Excellent condition rifle that can ship to you. Sn# 27,51X. Nice shiny bore w light frosting near the chamber. Round barrel that measures 21 3/4 inches with short magazine, a very fast handling short rifle!! I have never seen a sporter this short a barrel. Correct rear sight with a nice Lyman front sight that has worn with the rifle beautifully. . Wood is very nice with light scratches and some impressions. Stock had a sling swivel at one but had an excellent repair. No indications of a forward swivel. Wood to metal is perfect. Nice grain to the wood. Barrel has complete bluing that is fading. Receiver has a couple little spots of imperfection on the loading side at the rear near the wood.i captured this in a pic with my finger pointing to the spot. Some of the screws have some light buggering. Lettering is nice and crisp. NO smokeless markings on the barrel! Nice early rifle that has been taken care of over the years. ANTIQUE, no FFL, ships to you.
