Description:
Serial #46 (both pistols), .45 Caliber, 3 1/2” octagon barrels with very good, lightly freckled bores. This is a handsome pair of identical folding trigger pocket pistols that retain distinctive twist patterns on the barrels and muted, but still visible color case-hardening on the engraved frames. There is some mild fading on the edges of the barrel facets and a handful of minor impact marks along both barrels as well. The frames have nicely executed floral engraving with a cornucopia motif on the left side of both guns, as well as “AF” on the underside near the trigger. The smooth, bag-shaped walnut grips are in fine shape with lovely visible grain, and only minor handling marks and light surface blemishes. Both grips have unmarked octagonal silver escutcheons on the back. Both pistols have extremely firm actions, and appear to have been fired but little, if at all. These are extremely nice pistols and would make a great addition to any collection. Antique
