Description:
This is a Pre-64 Winchester Model 70 rifle in .30-06 Springfield. The serial number dates to 1952. The receiver is in Very Good to Excellent condition with some marks where a rear scope mount was installed. The 24 inch barrel is in Very Good to Excellent condition with only some evidence of corrosion around the front sight base. The bore is bright and shiny. Bottom metal is in Excellent conditon. Sights are a folding rear leaf sight and a ramped front bead. The front sight hood is not present. The action is drilled and tapped for scope mounts. The stock is checkered walnut in Very Good to Excellent condition with a fitted checkered steel butt plate. Thre is some pitting on the edge of the butt plate.
