Description:
The Evans rifle was a somewhat strange but innovative lever action rifle. This is the sporting version that has a 30" oct bbl. Cal is 44 Evans. Serial number 2194. It has a very deep dark patina on all metal. VG bbl markings " Evans Repeating Rifle". Buttstock is not in too bad of shape. A little lighter color to the forearm. Don't know if one has been changed or not? Forearm is well worn. The Evans is a repeating rifle with the mag tube that loads through the back of the buttstock. This is a visible trait that shows the 2 part stock with the center being the mag tube. An interesting piece.
