Description:
This is one awesome long range scope and is very usable out to 3,000 plus yards. The lenses are the best German glass available. The reticle is absolutely fantastic and even has lead indicators for targets moving 10, 20, 30, 40, and 50 mph. You can use this scope for inside 100 yards and out to 3,000 plus yards and there's no tunneling like there is with the Schmidt & Bender 5-25x56, which tunnels from 7x down to 5x, meaning the field of view does not get bigger like it should when you decrease the magnification. What should be an increase in field of view is replaced with a black ring that keeps getting thicker as you decrease magnification, and the Schmidt & Bender does this, but the US Optics doesn't!! This is the better scope, and it has the German glass in it. The scope body is 34 mm to make for a strong scope and more elevation. The objective lens is 58mm in diameter. The scope transmits a brighter image than a Nightforce Scope and US Optics will tell you that. The illumination is easy to use and there is a side-focus parallax adjustment, an elevation turret and a windage turret. Increments are easy to use because they are in 1/10th mil adjustments, which moves the point of impact 3/8 inch per click at 100 yards, and the military uses mils like this because it is much easier to dial in using mils because mils are in base 10, just like how we count to 10 or 100. This is top tier, top of the line long range scope and US Optics will stand behind it. They are also very rugged scopes, built to be stronger than a Schmidt & Bender. Also, once you start using the H102 reticle, you will not have to dial in elevation anymore, unless you want to. The reticle does the work for you. It is also superb for getting on target on the second shot, should the first one not go where you exepct. All you do is keep the reticle on the target, and when you see where the bullet strikes, just move that point of the reticle to the target you are trying to hit and fire again. The second shot will strike the target as intended, and this is the fastest way to acquire that quick hit. The H102 is the best reticle out there as far as I am concerned.
