You are viewing one used vintage Winchester Model 1894 rifle in the scarce 25-35 WCF caliber. This rifle is a takedown model and the takedown function still locks up tightly with no wobble. It has a 26" full octagon barrel, full magazine, and special order shotgun butt with Winchester logo hard rubber butt plate. Stocks are sound, no splits or cracks, never sanded or refinished, and no abuse/no extra holes, still tight and proud and retain that beautiful Winchester reddish-brown color they are famous for. Receiver is silver with pinprick oxidation that is smooth to the touch and might be able to be cleaned away without damaging the metal, has not sunk in under the surface yet. Barrel exhibits 75% blue, some turning plum (upper flats) and some very bright (lower flats). Magazine tube likewise has 75% bright blue in the protected areas and much less or silvered out in the carry/wear areas. Action is tight and crisp. Half-cock safety functions properly. Bore is dark in the grooves and may clean better; lands are very distinct with light frosting. I have shot this and it is a very good shooter, held 1/2 dollar 3-shot groups at 50 yards with factory ammo. Original sights are present - semi buckhorn rear with patent-dated thumbprint elevator and series 21 front sight w/set screw. No wobble to magazine tube ring. All markings are legible and correct for the period of manufacture. Overall an untouched specimen that will sure to increase in value over time. No international sales.
