This rare Featherweight has the 20 inch tapered round barrel, gold bead front sight and its original receiver peep sight. The butt stock is also hollowed out on these early featherweights so they would tip the scale right at 6 pounds. Original high polish blue remains on the barrel at about 85%+ and about 60% on the receiver. High polish blueing remains in the trigger guard area also. The stocks are in great condition, untouched with some original varnish remaining and no cracks or repairs of any kind. It has the original steel Savage logo serrated buttplate also. The bore remains in fine condition...shiny with strong lands and grooves and should be an excellent shooter. Traces of case colors are on the lever. Loaded chamber indicator and cartridge counter are excellent and working as they should. Serial range 117xxx puts this Featherweight at 1911.
