Payment Types Accepted: Certified Check / Personal Check Description: I am pleased to offer to you, a very rare and extremely well documented Winchester model 1892. This rifle was factory special ordered as a 20" octagon barrel short rifle chambered in .44-40. This rifle is one of only 14 model 1892 rifles ever ordered by the Citizens Guard of Hawaii. This rifle is noted by serial number in the original CGH records (as seen in the photos). This rifle was owned by notable CGH historian John A. Bell. Through all of my research, this is the only Model 1892 to surface that is a CGH issued gun. It has the correct CGH stamps on the butt stock. Bell also did extensive research and found documetation that this Model 1892 was issued to George Watt. George signed pledge in March, 1894 to the Union Party of the Hawaiian Islands. Also included with this rifle is many other copies of articles pertaining to both George Watt and the CGH. The rifle is a 100% original and a correct model 1892 20" short rifle. The offset caliber stamp, rear sight location, and short forearm are all correct and present. Condition is a honest original patina with only traces of original bluing. Wood is very good with no signs of refinishing or sanding. A very rare example with great history and documentation. Satisfaction guaranteed. Antique, will ship direct to buyer. SOLD Antique: Yes |
