Markings: The top of the barrel is marked “Manufactured By The Winchester Repeating Arms Co. / New Haven. Conn. U. S.A and 30 WCF.
The left side of barrel has Nickel Steel Barrel – / Especially for Smokeless powder. The serial number is found on the underside of the frame.
Barrel Length: 26” Octogon
Sights / Optics: This rifle is mounted with an adjustable buckhorn sight and a flip up LYMAN tang site.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are smooth and nicely finished wood. The left side has a 3" thin crack in the upper part of the stock.. The forearm is in very good condition. The wood looks well preserved and appropriately aged. The LOP measures 13” to the crescent butt plate. The stocks rate in about Good overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is just a bit gray and the rifling is sharp and deep.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 80% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish shows some pitting on the left sides of the frame. There are some bright marks on the magazine hanger and top of barrel.. . The Screw heads are sharp, showing only a few turnings. The markings are crisp. Overall, this rifle rates in about GOOD condition FOR 120 YEARS OLD.
