Description:
Magnificent custom dangerous game rifle built by Lon Paul. This rifle was two years in the making, (my idea of the perfect lion/bush rifle) and I have over $17,000.00 invested in the project. Duane Wiebe "coffin drop box, one piece bottom metal" . Pillar bedded action. 22" barrel with one folding island sight regulated at 100 yards. Lyman long shaft peep sight, and drilled/tapped to accomodate a scope. Beautiful XXXX feather crotch American black walnut w/ Winchester pad including what I call a transitional English style checkering while imitating the Winchester Pre-64 checkering pattern. The bottom metal is elegantly border engraved, screws floral & floor plate reads "Six Cartridges. The folding island sight is gold inlaid, as well as the trap door grip cap with my initials (sorry, I wasn't intending to ever get rid of this!) The bottom metal and bolt shroud was sent to Doug Turnbull for case coloring. L.O.P. is 14-1/4" w/ 1/4" cast off.
