A modern copy of the Lorenz Civil War musket caliber .58 smooth bore on the 38" long barrel. This is finished in the white like the original and has a exact copy of the iron ram-rod. There were 326, 000+ of these guns imported into the U.S. during the Civil War, with about 236, 000+going to the Union army and about 100, 000 going to the Confederacy. This Lorenz was third place in usage during the war behind the Springfield and Enfield. Beginning of the war saw these guns used by both sides and this gun is historically correct for use by re-enactors! Often the Union army would re-bore these to .58 caliber from the imported .54 cal. A rugged gun that would last a life time. This fine gun was test fired. To buy a gun from me you must get a direct email for me, with details, and shipping cost.
